On arrival check in at the hotel and after rest visit Agra Fort, the great monument of red sandstone dominating a bend in the river Yamuna, 2 km northwest of Taj Mahal. The Mughals constructed it during 1565-1571. Emperor Akbar laid the foundation of this majestic citadel in 1565, however Emperor Shahjahan, Akbar’s grandson completed the fort in 1571.
